Seattle PD lieutenant reform plan leader, arrested for domestic violence

According to Lt. Donnie Lowe has gotten arrested by the Seattle police offers into the county jail this past Saturday night. It was because of an domestic violence call up in south Seattle, adding on to that there was possible charges for many assaults. Unfortunately, this was not his (Lowe) first time getting in trouble with the law Times reported. The reason for Lowe going to jail that Saturday night was from an argument he had with his wife. The argument was about their son, the argument had then reached another level. Donnie pushed his wife causing her to hit the wall and moments later slapped her in her face. Chief john Diaz has asked another one of the law enforcement agencies to conduct the investigation. Lowe whom served as a team leader from the section leader departments of 20/20 vision initiative. I think this is one of those situations that are already known about. In a lot of situations married couples have their times when they go through ups and downs. I also think that Donnie should have handled the whole situation in a whole different way. In situations people usually think before they react, but this was not the case this was one of those times where he acted before he fully thought it out. He should have talked the situation out so that both him and his wife could then understand both sides of the story without any confusion and violence.

Getting angry can be a good thing .

in 1980 Cecilia Munoz was 17 . she says this is when she first discovered her outrage of anger. it all started when her and her family were at dinner talking about wars going on in central america and the involvement of the united states. a good friend said someday the U.S. might go to war somewhere in Latin America. he says he believes that if this happens he believes her parents belong n an internment camp just like the Japanese-American during world war II. Cecilia always considered herself and her family an american family. she and friends always were doubted whether they belong in their country. her fuel of anger led her to start the propellant of her life, she got into the civil rights movement where she has worked since. her outrage actually helped her find jobs. she found them in the immigrant rights movement. in washington she worked as an advocate. in some cases her anger would sometimes not benefit her in a good way. she said that of she helped 50 immigrant families in a day, there were faces of 5 not qualifying and that would haunt her at night. i think the fact that cecilia had anger inside and cared about what he man said helped her. sometimes its better to let out anger because the more you hold i could hurt you inside. expressing feeling in my opinion is the right thing to do, and you should feel better after you do it. cecilia is a person that can use her anger in a way that a lot of people can understand.

Career Day

On Thursday May 3, 2012 we had career day at our school. there was an Attorney, tax business person, and a commercial banker. they all talked about how they got their job, and adding on the major parts of their career. the attorney was a women that goes by the name of Ms. singleton, she talked about how her job is to help people in criminal situation. in 11th grade she realized that she wanted to be a lawyer.  doing her best not to give them the worst consequence possible.  she talked about the different situations she was in,  saying if they were easy or complicated to handle. the tax business person talked about how he owns his own tax business. he created his tax business 20 years ago, so 1992 would be the year he started.  Mr Heigler is the commercial banker, he is the one who lone's people money. people like him give money to smaller business. they business that was given the money has to then pay them back, this is how commercial bankers get paid. if the smaller business doesn't pay them back, they take what ever they exchanged in collateral. all the people that came here to our school all interested me, they did because first off these are jobs that i really didn't care for or wanted to know about. the attorney caught my eye because she had stories that explained what kid of work she did everyday. her job is not easy at all. she has to make they right decision. the tax business person caught  my eye because he accomplished something, and didn't even finish high school. the commercial banker caught my eye because there is not a lot of work to really do at his job. he goes to work on his time, he makes his own hours.

Afghan girls, scarred by acid.

in the article Afghan Girls, Scarred by Acid, Defy Terror, Embracing School, Author Dexter Filkins talks about girls in afghan that are be scarred with acid on their face just because they want an education, and would like to attend school like a normal child. Shamsia Husseini was on her way to school one morning when she first experienced scars from acid on her face. Because of this, as the days go on her vision gets blurry. this attack also harmed 14 others ( students and teachers ) by the men that were on motorcycles. Her parents wanted her to continue going to school. in November three men on motorcycles stayed around the school, they hit 11 girls and 4 teachers with spray bottles, squirt gun, and a jar. This was done by the Taliban, the fundamentalist movement. They are the ones that are battling the government and the American-led coalition. Banned from school was the most notorious symbols of their rules. people began to put of posters saying " don't let your child go to school ". Shortly students began to stop coming. the headmaster Mahmood Qadari took matters into his own hands. He called a meeting for all parents to some to the school, he wanted the parents to allow their children to come back to school. students started to show up, as it progressed things got better for Shamsia Husseini and students that attended the school. I think that this is something bad that was happening in Afghan, every child should be able to go to school without getting attacked. Shamsia Husseini is a brave girl, i say this because she wants to go to school and get an education. Her situation is something you couldn't overcome very easily. There should have been more protection, the men o the motorcycles should have been sent to jail.

George Zimmerman charged for Trayvon Martins arrest

for about a month Trayvon has been killed in his own neighborhood he cause of wearing a hoodie. in the article http://www.philly.com/philly/news/20120412_Martin_s_parents___We_wanted_an_arrest_.html Angela Corey announced that Zimmerman, 28, was charged with second-degree murder and taken into police custody. but a nations answers will have to wait. it has not been said where they are holding Zimmerman. one of the attorneys for Trayvon's family says " we are just now getting to first base. despite the lack of any new details, legal analysts were quick to speculate that the severity of the charge the maximum penalty is life in prison without possibility of parole. i think that the arrest should have been done a long time ago. Trayvon should have never been killed, he didn't do anything wrong. there was no crime done, so therefore he should't have been killed. the police don't understand how harsh this is to his parents. it seems to me that Trayvon wasn't a troubled child. he was just at the wrong place at the wrong time. he man who killed him didn't have the right to do what he did. i think because of Trayvon's skin color had something to do with why the man killed him, he might have been a very racist person. i think that this is a crime that should be remembered, this is a crime that is an example of how bad the world is today. i know that Trayvon's parents are heart broken because that was their only child.

dirt bike tragedy

Jermaine Alexander died because of a dirt bike accident. as a young child his mother Sandra Howard-Witherspoon said, " when he was 5 he would ride his bicycle only if he had smashed tin cans in the wheels to mimic the dirt-bike growl". his uncle decided to take him to the park to teach him to ride the real thing. Jermaine was really obsessed with dirt bikes, he would run to the window to see who ever was riding down the street on one. He would even get different parts like junk scraps to put on dirt bikes that he had fixed up. then, on march 13, he and a friend went to borrow a dirt bike so they could return to their school at dismissal time to show off to their classmates. A boy named Eric Carter 15, who was riding with Alexander said cops in a marked police cruiser spotted them at Frankford and oxford and gave chase. the police said that there wasn't any chase. The boys then split up, after about a mile Alexander ended up on Frankford avenue at butler street he ran into a car that was turning in front of hi speeding bike. the bike shattered, and he died. According to the police department, it is illegal in Philadelphia to drive a four-wheeler or dirt bike on streets or parks, the say that its a no-pursuit policy for the vehicles saying that the dangers of a chase out weight the offense. i think that cops shouldn't want to chase a kid that is on a dirt bike or a four-wheeler. its much more things that they should be worried about. like shootings, robbery, rape and other sorts of things. i think that Jemaine was an innocent child that didn't mean any harm. He just wanted to have fun o the dirt bike with his friend.

For Women under 30, Most Births Occur Outside Marriage

The article Women under 30, Most Births Occur Outside Marriage is about being married when you have a child. mothers of all ages, about 59 percent in 2009 are married  when they have children. also, nearly two-thirds of children on the United States are born to mothers under 30. which leads to transforming family and a hint of coming generational change. marriage has become a luxury good said Frank Furstenberg at the universitty of pennsylvania. 73 percent of black children are born outside marriage, comparing with 53 percent of latinos and 29 percent of whites. also, eduction differences are continuing to increase. 92 percent of women that go to college are married, when they get pregnant comparing with 62 percent of women with some post-cesondary schooling and 43 percent of women with high school diploma or less according to child trends. even as many Americans withdraw from marriage, researchers say they expect more from it. so overall this article is to inform people a bout people that are  not married and how that leads in to their child behavior and what type of impact that puts on them. i think that people should start to get married because its a better thing to do before you have kids. when you have kids after that, life is sometimes better. if you have a child while not being married life could turn out to be worst. if you have both your parents and they are married, i think kids will feel more comfortable with their life style.

women in texas losing options for health care and abortion fight

The article "Women in Texas Losing Options for Health Care in Abortion Fight" is about how health services are not the best, it talks about a clinic that closed in October along with over a dozen others in the state of texas. the financing for their health was cut by two thirds from the Republican-control Legislature. this act left many low-income women even more less of options, the inconvenience and cost is a problem too. some of the clinics that were not affiliated to close and the ones run by Planned Parenthood said they were motivated by the fight against abortion. also, it is likely another shutdown will happen with the Medicine Women's Health Program. this clinic serves 130,000 women.  i think it's a bad thing that the clinics are getting shut down because of those reasons. there are a lot of women, young women at that  are getting pregnant and they need the health care that they deserve. this should be somemthing that is changed, its putting a lot of people in a bad situation. clinics should be always open for young women, because if they are not open there are going to be a lot of health problems. health problems would be a major problem. if there is a stop towards these clinics not opening that would be much better. it would be much better because there would be less and less abortion problems in the world for women all ages.  i think that the closing of the clinics will get handled in a better way.

photoshopped or not tool

The article "Photoshopped or not, a tool to tell" is about photographers for celebrities also models in the fashion advertisements and magazines. adding digital polish and buffing their pictures. they an change multiple things such as wrinkles, color of brightness, the size of their body pimples and a lot of other things they might want to change about the person. Dr. Farid said he became intrigued by the problem after reading about photo-labeling proposals in europe. Dr. Farid and Eric Kee, a ph.D student in computer science at Dartmouth, are proposing  a software tool for measuring how much fashion and beauty photos have bekk altered, a 1-to-5 scale that distinguishes the information from the fantastic. this means that they are trying to see how often people get their pictures edit and all the other things that can be changed. i think that this whole thing about adding polish, buffering the pictures, brightness, the size of people is a good and bad thing. its a good thing because i think its a easier way to get around all the problems, people don't have to worry about trying to loose weight, they can just get their size reduced in their pictures. its a bad thing also because people are not committing to what they want to do. if your a model you should have a model type body. i think it shouldn't be allowed. also, this is something that i think is going to be around a lot longer. i say this because this is something that is useful for a lot of famous people now days, and the people who actually creates this gets paid a lot of money for it.

Im a criminal

in the article Im a criminal and so are you  talks about how there are a lot of reasons people go to jail everyday all around the world. so now that they are labeled as a criminal they don't have all their rights, such as to vote. its like your put aside from everything and everybody else. you might not be able to get a job, get access to education and other sorts of things. adding to that it says that everyone is a criminal in their own way. she states that you don't have to look like a criminal to be one. the differences between the people in jail and the people outside of jail is that they didn't get caught doing what they did. and because of that people often think that they didn't do anything wrong. Michelle Alexander says that the color, age, or gender doesn't even matter, but people think it happens in the ghettos mainly. she thinks it should be  aware that a lot of people did something that they shouldn't have did or broke they law at some point and time in their life. i think in some situations you shouldn't be punished as much. you should't be know and still have rights just like everybody else thats not a criminal. if you committed a crime such a robbery you should get punished because something like that is not needed. it you get caught driving while you are drunk, them it should not be that you have to a lot of time in jail for something little like that. people do it very often, they just don't get caught doing it.

In china, human costs are built into an ipad

In the article  "in china, costs are built into an ipad" it talks about the ipad factories, how they affect peoples lives, and the out come of everything. in the last decade, Apple has become one of the mightiest and most successful companies in the world, in part by mastering global manufacturing. the workers that assemble iphones, ipads, and other devices often labor in harsh conditions.  Lai Xiaodong was a worker at the ipad factory in china, where he had got his face blown off. the employees work a lot of overtime, sometimes seven days a week. they live in crowded dorms. while they are working some say that their legs well swell up until they can hardly walk. two years ago 137 workers at a apple store supplier in eastern China were injured from using a poisonous chemical to clean iphones. current and former Apple executives say that the company has made significant strides in improving factories in recent years. i think that Apple factories in china were bad to start off with, because while producing these electronics people often got hurt, and got paid little money and they worked very long hours. i think that before they made these factories they should have more protection for the workers, such as getting chemicals into their body. i think Apple will perform better if more articles come out about the situation, so they can really understand. some of the buyers don't worry about these things. they don't always understand what the workers had to go through to produce these things. and the owners should put more effort into how they run their factories.

cracking teenagers Online Codes

34 year old Dana Boyd is a Senior researcher at Microsoft, An assistant professor at New York University and fellow at Berkman center for internet and society. she is someone that studies the reason its good for children to explore the internet. she thinks that it is okay for children to be on the internet and communicate with other people their age, or with adults that can help them in different situations. In fact, she thinks that children should be on the internet more than they do today. she says its more safer being on the internet then being out in the public. she says that being oline can help you get to know people that you normally wouldnt talk to in public somewhere. she says that parents, teachers, and schools worry about this type of behavior that children around the world has becoming apart of. the worry is that teenagers might post things about their life, depressing poetry and much more. some might worry that their child could be talking to preditors, or could be getting picked on by bullies. she talks mostly about this because she feel as though the primission to roam the internet had been destroyed. she can relate to this because, she had the same issues growing up as a child. at age 16 she questioned her life. she didnt think that she was going to live very long, she believed that she would die at  age 21. people she knew died because of multiple reasosn such as suicide. Dana Boyd said that the internet saved her life. she say that getting to know people was a good thing for her. she realized that there were smart people in  the world. i think that its a good thing for a child to have a good amount on the internet. children often learn more from online friends, and different web sites. its helps you learn new things that you would have never knew about if you were to have a face to face conversations with someone. i dont think its a dangerious thing, its actually fun and interesting.a child should always learn something new on their own. thats the way they can understand life more, while being on the internet.

misbehaved children

children misbehave for multiple reasons. they misbehave at all ages in their life. if they don't know why their children are acting the way they do, they will have no guidance or ways to handle the situation. children need to feel and understand that they belong in a home or belong to their parents. this could include friends, family members, teachers, that make them think that they have to gain membership or be accepted. even if a child gets some attention they might look at things better and differently. children that don't get enough attention or spend enough time with their parents act up or get in trouble to be noticed. they act up because of the lack of confidence. even raising a kid not so good when their growing up, could stay with them forever which makes then feel as thought they need to act a different way in life towards everyone. some kids model the behavior of their parents. children that do this watch a listen to what their parent do. they think since they are adults, its okay to act that way.kids put their anger and sadness into their actions. i think that the different behavior of children has to be something that they saw before or aware of that type of action. kids that act as if they are not wanted is a behavior that has to do with the parent. i say this because most kids don't like to be home with their parent. getting attention is very important for a child. parents often don't give a lot of attention to their child because their job they have to do. or other children they have to attend to.

teaching kids how to break up nicely

  •  Teaching kids how to break up nicely was written by Benoit Denizet Lewis. in the article it talks about situations on Facebook, and the break ups that happen on this website. it says that late last month, 200 teenagers from boston-area schools gathered to discuss the details of Facebook break up etiquette. some of the adolescent questions were part of a one-day conference of " healthy breakups". this is shocking because this is something that is really known all around the world. my opinion on this topic is that it could be thought about in many ways. updating a relationship status and not telling the person it wrong, because they should have an agreement. deleting someone on Facebook is okay. i say this because you choose who you want to be your friend, so you should be able to choose who you don't want to be friends with anymore. a Facebook breakup is not always true. its not always true because the two people might still be boyfriend and girlfriend. if you break up with you boyfriend or girlfriend, in some situations i think you should still talk to them as a friend. i say this because if the was a mutual agreement of why you aren't together anymore thats okay. its okay because even thought you are not together you can have some type of agreement in conversations. its not okay when you break up without coming to an agreement. its still unsolved conflict between the two. there shouldn't be anything to talk about in that type of situation. there was nothing positive happening when it could have been worked out. so people should always know what they are getting them selfs into, because you never know what is waiting for you at the end

teen bullying

teen bullying ins a big thing in the world today. its not a thing that happens sometimes, it happens all the time, everyday, all day. theres a lot of reasons it happens to so many children of different ages. for instance children do not want to go to school because they are afraid. they are afraid of what might happen to then at anytime they are walking the halls. that type of thing has kids worried about their life. it is worst when parent, friends and teachers are not doing anything about it. they might not take it as serious. when someone is constantly getting teased by someone or more than one person, thats the most known type of bullying.some reasons why kids get bullied is because of their appearance or social status. such as if they are quiet, shy or they look like they don't fit in. some kids get bullied physically, they might be getting punched, pushed or shoved. others may get bullied sexually. verbal bulling is another, the bully might use cruel language to intimidate the person. messaging them or posting things on websites, which is known as cyber bullying. once the bulling is continuing, that puts the person in a lot of fear. boys and girls might suffer not getting school work done. they might  not be able to get school work done because they are not eating lunch at school, because they might not want to eat in the lunchroom. the study of this could cause stress, depression, anxiety, or might want to commit suicide. i think bullying is a bed thin to do to one another. i don't think anyone should be bullied, because everybody  should be able to live their life as they want.  bullying is a bad thing, a lot of parents should know a out this type of stuff. the kids that are getting bullied should say something about what is going on with their everyday life. this is something serious to all ages. its something that should be done more about.

Animal neglect

The world we live in today there are a lot of neglect happening, one having to do with animals. this has to do with people not giving them the right care. this includes leaving them without food, shelter or water. it could be something inside of the caretaker, that gives then the intension to neglect animals. their life style might not be the best, something in their childhood might give them the intensions of doing the wrong thing. purina developed the body condition, this help judge if the pet appearance is normal or not. emaciated: backbones, pelvic bones, are prominent from a distance, body fat is not visible and loss off muscle mass. very thin: ribs, backbones easily visible no palpable fat. heavy: heavy fat cover, palpable ribs are difficult. overweight: waist is discernable viewed from above. i think that animal neglect should be watches more, because no animal should be abused and nothing happen to that person. animals are living things just like us, and should be treated like us. abusing a animal shouldn't be a way of letting ager out. an excuse of someones life shouldn't be a reason of doing bad things to an animal. animals have feelings just live we do, they get emotional,  they want to be happy. people that are abusing animals obviously don't care about anyones life but their own. they should be put in jail. if you buy a pet you should always and remain to take care of it with love as if it was a child. there are a lot of animals getting put into shelters and neglect homes because of the bad things their owner has done to them.

deadly mushrooms

It has been said that people have got confused with the different type of mushrooms, the ones that are edible and the ones that are not edible. it was the death cap mushroom that caused all of this to happen. canberra Australian health officials said that it killed two people and sickened another. the mushroom was served with a private meal at a restaurant on new years day.  the Sydney Morning herald  had reported that he had served 3 people at a chinese Bistro. the chief and a 52 year old women died at sydney hospital, the newspaper reported that the third person was in critical condition. health authorities had to warn residents not to confuse the edible mushrooms with the deadly mushrooms. the death cap mushroom grow near oak trees, found in warm climates that are wet. they also can be found in the autumn months. they are smooth silky mushrooms, and their color changer from white to greenish-brown. i think that there should be some way where no one should die over someone not now that the mushroom is deadly. i also think food restaurants shouldn't be able to buy them if they kill people. i think the whole thing could have been prevented if the people were sure about what they were serving to people. people should be notified if they are edible or un-edible. many more people could have died because of the mushroom, a lot of people don't k ow what a deadly mushroom looks like.

2011 diet neews

In 2011 there was a talk about diets. it talks about what is our body really doing when we put food into our mouth. also what should we eat and not eat to prevent any other or unhealthy things that could be bad for our bodies. they even came up with the food pyramid, to help people understand more about their different eating categories. the U.S. department of Agriculture came up with the new food pyramid, they mad it into a dinner plate dividing it up into sections. it contains fruit, veggies, grains, protein, and a side cup of dairy.  the food pyramid was a good idea to start with, my opinion on the new food pyramid is that its a new and better way to help anybody of any age wanna take their heath more serious. the food pyramid has everything, it tells you what you should eat, shouldn't , and what you should eat sometimes. i think they should renew the food pyramid every year. i say this because our heath is very something we have to deal with in our everyday lives. it could better the heath habits in america or even all over the world. there could be less obesity for all ages, less lives would be at risk of not living long.
