In china, human costs are built into an ipad
In the article "in china, costs are built into an ipad" it talks about the ipad factories, how they affect peoples lives, and the out come of everything. in the last decade, Apple has become one of the mightiest and most successful companies in the world, in part by mastering global manufacturing. the workers that assemble iphones, ipads, and other devices often labor in harsh conditions. Lai Xiaodong was a worker at the ipad factory in china, where he had got his face blown off. the employees work a lot of overtime, sometimes seven days a week. they live in crowded dorms. while they are working some say that their legs well swell up until they can hardly walk. two years ago 137 workers at a apple store supplier in eastern China were injured from using a poisonous chemical to clean iphones. current and former Apple executives say that the company has made significant strides in improving factories in recent years. i think that Apple factories in china were bad to start off with, because while producing these electronics people often got hurt, and got paid little money and they worked very long hours. i think that before they made these factories they should have more protection for the workers, such as getting chemicals into their body. i think Apple will perform better if more articles come out about the situation, so they can really understand. some of the buyers don't worry about these things. they don't always understand what the workers had to go through to produce these things. and the owners should put more effort into how they run their factories.
